One of the main features of HerbMentor is the video lessons. HerbMentor commits to adding at least one new skills video a month in addition to ongoing plant studies.

  • Remedies and Recipes will focus on lessons. These are either full video demonstrations or audio slideshows, which feature photos and narration.

  • Plant Walk with Jim McDonald: Join Jim as he covers many East Coast/ Mid West herbs in great detail.  We have over 3 hours of Jim speaking and we will be releasing a new herb every two weeks starting August, 2009.

  • Plant Studies with John and Rosalee focus on learning a plant, its family, some key identifying characteristics, as well as a few common uses.

  • Botanical Video Series with Dr. Sharol Tilgner: Enjoy these very detailed plant studies from an out of print video resource that I LOVED when I started learning.

  • Ancestree Herbals Videos with Rosalee: Visit an herb farm to learn about how to grow herbs, as well as ideas on how to use them.

  • Herb Walks feature other herbalists giving their unique perspectives of herbalism as they take show us plants in the field.

  • Bill Church's Video Field Guide: Videos to correspond with Bill's Plant Field Guide, available on this site for free to members.

  • Interviews and random videos: An hour with Susun Weed, as well as other odds and ends...

You can now watch our videos on your iPod or iPhone! Simply....

  1. Download the mp4 of the video (lower right icon on video player).

  2. Import into iTunes.

  3. Highlight the file in iTunes and select: Advanced> Create iPod or iPhone Version.

  4. Next time you sync, the video will appear in the "Movies" section on your mobile device. Of course, you'll need to tell iTunes you want the video to sync with your device after you have it plugged in.
